The Mermoon Resort Hainan Tufu Bay, affiliated to Hilton Tapestry Collection, is located on the tranquil coast of the South China Sea in Tufu Bay, Lingshui, Hainan. It is the third Hilton Tapestry Collection property across Greater China and the first one launched on Hainan Island. Drawing inspiration from the local legend of Afu and the mermaid, the resort takes ocean-themed design as its core and integrates the culture of Danjia fishing rafts into the overall space. Boasting unobstructed frontline sea views adjacent to Haitang Bay, Sanya, it creates an immersive coastal vacation paradise. The hotel mainly serves high-end leisure travelers, family guests and honeymoon visitors.
BYU Hospitality delivered a full-chain customized FF&E turnkey solution for the entire project. Covering design development, material selection, production and on-site installation guidance, we completed a full set of furniture systems for guest rooms, suites and all public areas. Rooted in the mermaid legend, the hotel required all furniture to convey a romantic and relaxing coastal vacation atmosphere. While featuring distinctive themed elements, the design must avoid exaggerated fairy-tale styles and maintain the premium taste and understated elegance of the Hilton brand. Detailed requirements are as follows:
★ Furniture shall incorporate ocean, fishing village and mermaid elements subtly, including fish scale patterns, wave silhouettes, boat shapes and mother-of-pearl textures.
★ The overall color scheme adopts beige, light grey and natural wood tones, accented with blue and white ocean hues, to present a bright and refreshing coastal style.
★ Furniture features soft and rounded lines to echo the laid-back vacation atmosphere, abandoning the rigid styling of traditional business hotels.

Guest Room Furniture: Mermaid-themed Details & Sea View Adaptation
Designed under the theme of "Serene Fishing Village", guest room furniture is embedded with rich ocean-inspired details:
★ Bed System: Upholstered headboards with blue-and-white stripes simulate wave textures, matched with coordinated cushions to create a strong vacation ambiance. All bed frames adopt rounded lines without sharp corners, delivering higher safety for family stays.
★ Bathroom Furniture: Custom boat-style vanity units and bathtubs are paired with partition doors carved with fish scale patterns, paying tribute to local fishing boats and marine elements. We applied moisture-proof panels and waterproof coatings to cope with the persistently humid bathroom environment.
★ Lounge Area: Light beige fabric sofas are equipped with lifebuoy-shaped cushions and matched with round glass tables, creating a comfortable space for sea-view relaxation and casual work. Outdoor balcony furniture is made of anti-corrosion outdoor-grade materials to resist sea wind and humidity.
★ Storage System: Trunk-style storage cabinets with rivet and lock details highlight nautical features, while offering ample storage space for vacation luggage.

★ Bedroom System: Rattan-wrapped headboards and canopy bed frames create a romantic vacation atmosphere. Round nightstands in natural wood color are decorated with woven textures, presenting the rustic charm of Danjia fishing rafts.
★ Living Room Furniture: Curved fabric sofas are matched with coffee tables combining solid wood and rattan materials. The soft and flowing lines bring a relaxed vacation feeling. Supporting rattan lounge chairs use highly breathable fabrics to adapt to the tropical climate.
★ Overall Materials: Natural wood and rattan are widely used in suites, with a color palette of beige and warm brown to build a warm and cozy coastal space. All raw materials are specially treated for anti-corrosion and anti-mildew performance to adapt to Hainan's climate.

The tabletop materials are selected for easy cleaning, suitable for high-traffic catering scenarios. ★ Panel Treatment: We use high-quality moisture-proof multi-layer solid wood boards with strictly controlled moisture content. The surface is coated with professional anti-moisture and anti-salt spray paint to isolate humid air and salt erosion effectively.
★ Fabric Selection: Upholstery fabrics for guest rooms and public sofas feature high air permeability, mildew resistance and UV resistance. The main colors of light beige, blue and white are not only easy to clean, but also resistant to fading under long-term strong sunlight.
