Birkin International Hotel Melaka is a brand-new luxury all-suite coastal resort hotel opening in 2025, located in the historic city of Melaka, Malaysia. Nestled near Jonker Street Night Market and Klebang Beach, the hotel enjoys unobstructed sea views of the Straits of Malacca. Positioned as a multi-purpose destination hotel integrating business conferences, family vacations and cultural experiences, the hotel aims to create a landmark-level resort experience in Melaka with 527 all-suite guest rooms, diverse dining facilities, a spa center and comprehensive meeting amenities.
BYU Hospitality undertook the full-chain customized FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) turnkey solution for the entire project, covering all functional areas including the hotel lobby, full-category guest rooms, suites, restaurants, bars, kids' club, spa center, meeting rooms and outdoor pool area. Situated in Melaka, the hotel blends Malay indigenous culture, Peranakan charm and modern minimalist design language. The client required all furniture to follow a unified design logic:

We provided integrated furniture solutions for the hotel lobby, elevator halls, lounge areas and front desk, including customized reception counters, leisure sofas, coffee tables, decorative fixed joinery and supporting furniture for art installations. The design perfectly integrates modern luxury aesthetics with Malay cultural elements, combining marble and warm wood with metal lines and rattan details. Guest Room & Suite Furniture
We delivered complete customized furniture sets and supporting soft furnishings for all 527 guest rooms, twin rooms and suites. The product range includes beds, nightstands, office desks, leisure seating, wardrobes, TV cabinets, balcony leisure chairs and other fixed and loose furniture, as well as supporting curtains, carpets and decorative lighting.
★ All guest room furniture uses high-grade moisture-proof multi-layer solid wood boards with breathable and stain-resistant fabrics to adapt to the tropical humid environment;
★ Custom outdoor rattan hanging chairs and leisure tables and chairs for balconies, which are UV-resistant and corrosion-resistant, suitable for coastal outdoor scenarios;
★ Family-friendly design: furniture in family rooms adopts rounded corners and safe, environmentally friendly materials to meet the needs of family guests;
★ The overall style is unified, balancing residential comfort, office convenience and long-term commercial durability, while incorporating Melaka cultural elements to create a locally distinctive guest room experience.
Dining Area Furniture
We customized professional commercial furniture for the hotel's 7 restaurants, 2 cafes, poolside bar and 2 lounges, including dining tables and chairs, buffet stations, bar stools, lounge seating and outdoor terrace dining furniture.
★ In view of the high-frequency use and easy-pollution characteristics of catering spaces, we specially selected waterproof, oil-proof, stain-resistant and easy-to-clean high-grade materials with reinforced structural technology to adapt to the busy catering operation environment;
★ Outdoor dining area furniture uses UV-resistant and corrosion-resistant outdoor materials with rattan and bamboo elements to echo the coastal resort atmosphere;
★ The furniture supports flexible combination, adapting to different scales of dining, banquets and events, maintaining the high-end texture and visual unity of the hotel's dining spaces.
